25 Years Young

 be warned: this post will be REALLY long.

As you probably know my birthday was this week!! I LOVE my birthday! I mean, LOVE.  This year was good. I got to spend time with my friends and family and I did exactly what I wanted all day. I found myself especially grateful and appreciative that people were taking time out of their busy lives to call, text, or come visit me. I especially love my family for always striving to make it so special for me. I have had the best support system these past two years in Utah and I want you all to know how much I appreciate it.

Since I love when people do those random blog posts that say "25 things you didn't know about me" or "the ABC's of my life"  I decided to do one too, in honor of my birthday, so that I can remember myself how I am right now.

1. I am a obsessive package tracker. When I order things online, I constantly check the "status" of the package. I like to know every city the package is in!
2.  Currently I am obsessed with the BLT sandwiches from Great Harvest. I can't get enough.
3. My favorite treat is still Emily's mint brownies. Especially when she makes the icing different colors!
4. Puff pancake is my favorite breakfast dish. With strawberries, bananas, powdered sugar, and lemon wedge.
5. I love trashy reality tv. eg. basketball wives miami, mob wives, RHOA
6. I went to therapy from February to June. When I checked in with her in October, she told me I didn't need to come anymore. I would recommend therapy to anyone.
7. This was the year I learned that friendships don't last forever. Honestly, I just didn't think it was true before.
8. I really do love accounting. I wish I would have had more courage to start accounting before I graduated in PoliSci because I knew I didn't want to be a lawyer 2 years before I graduated!
9.  Some people spend money on clothes. I spend money on cases...like cases for iphones, kindles, or my toothbrush. I love cases...nice ones.
10. I haven't bought any new clothes since October. I hate my wardrobe but refuse to buy something until I lose weight.
11. I still hate when people lie and secrets. I always will.
12. The real reason I want to live in CA is because one day I was watching the RHCP video that was filmed in Venice Beach and I saw the girl that was dancing on top of the fence and I thought to myself I could be doing that right now. I could be having so much fun. Now every time I think of CA, I can only picture that video.  Is that lame??? I've never shared that. I have a ton of legitimate reasons why I could move there but that is THE reason that made me even consider it.
13. I like myself. I don't feel like a lot of people can say that. But I genuinely like myself. I like who I am. I like how far I've come.
14. I'm worried about how long it will take me to get a job but I am confident I'll find one eventually.
15.  You know how some people only get a "little" mad? Something will happen and they won't be furious, they'll just be ticked?? That doesn't happen to me. I have only one level of anger. I'm either angry or not.
16. Happy Endings, New Girl, and Up All Night are my favorite shows right now. They are hilarious!
17. Still dreaming of the black Lexus LS with my name on the door.
18.  The first thing I do every morning is check my e-mail and my ical. I like to have a general idea of what's going on that day.
19. I am not one of those people who have to have everything set in stone, I'm usually pretty easy going but once I commit to something I commit. I'll always say I'll visit but until I actually have the ticket....anything goes.
20. I LOVE to laugh.
21. I have a hate/hate relationship with commas. I love semicolons though.
22. I love to play games on my iphone but I usually move on from them pretty quickly. Games don't hold my attention for much longer than two weeks.
23. What does "split the infinitive" even mean???
24. I'm a bitch when I'm tired or hungry.
25. I have the best friends in the whole world.

Karoake

Sometimes when I have a free Tuesday night I hit up the Applebee's karaoke just to see what Utah Valley has to offer. On this one particular night I was able to witness the most awkward rendition of Katy Perry ever. I videotaped it so I could share it with all of you!

Shanna Banana

One of my bestest dearest friends-Shanna- got married a week or so ago. I was lucky to be able to share her special day with her.  Stephen, Andrea, and I drove down on Friday day and were able to make to the reception at night. It  was so good to see my little Shanna. I always think of her as being younger and needing more protection cz she's so small. In all reality, Shanna has always been one of my rock. She's an awesome girl and she deserves the best. I am so happy for her

The rest of the weekend was also awesome. Saturday we woke up and hung out. We went to a new mall in Vegas that I hadn't been too before.  The weather was amazing and it felt good just to be out and about in sunshine and warm weather with two of my homies. We drove back to Provo Sunday night just in time for a long week of mid-terms.  I love fun weekend getaways. I like to think of them as mini vacations. The Vegas sunshine was enough to keep me going for the next two months.

Don't Use My Shizz

This was waiting for my in a bathroom in my apt a couple weeks ago(it's taken me this long to post, sorry). The funny thing was, it wasn't even MY bathroom. I would never have seen it had Rachelle not told me there was a note for me in there.

I was Pissssseeeeddd. I would have cussed everyone out that morning but Babs told me my anger was making her uncomfortable. So after I dropped her off at her brother's house I spent the rest of the day at Molly's so that I wouldn't kill those little girls. I really had to remind myself that they were 3 almost 4 years younger then me. Plus I kind of enjoying seeing how scared they all were once they realized I was angry.

The first question that should pop into everyone's mind is- Nat, were you using her products??

HELL NO, I wasn't. I have my own products.

After  I had about as decent and calm a conversation with the perpetrator as I could muster, the situation was diffused with her apologies and regrets for being so immature. 

I was extra proud of myself for not losing it and ruining the rest of our semester together. 

I definitely encourage people to live with friends only. Not even- I encourage people to live with friends they know they can get along with.

Thank goodness for Rachelle and Stephen for talking me off that ledge every time I had an angry flash. LOL

Valentine's Day

I know this post is approximately two weeks late but better late than never, right?

I hope that everyone had a great V-day. I know I did! I have been very lucky in my life to always have great friends and family to help me celebrate Valentine's Day. I can honestly say that I have never been one of those bitter girls that try and pretend valentine's day is completely ridiculous. No sir. I love to say Happy V-day to people and I love to get people cards or treats because I have no problem showing when I care about someone. Just because I don't have a man doesn't mean I don't have love in my life!!! (Take note bitter B's.)

Anyway, this year Stephen took me to see Lady Antebellum in concert on Valentine's day at the Energy Solutions Arena. I love concerts and I love Lady Antebellum.  They were so good live.

I had class and work that day and even ended up taking a test before heading up to Salt Lake. I missed the intro acts, Thompson Square and Darius Rucker. I was a little sad about Thompson Square because I didn't even know they were going to be there!!! Luckily Lady Ant pulled everyone back up on stage to do a number together.

It was a good day. I was able to accomplish all the things I wanted to that day and the best part was when I met up with Stephen he surprised me with my favorite treat from Sweet Tooth Fairy in the shape of a heart!! 

I love my friends.

Sticks and Stones

Sticks and stones can break your bones and so can high heels and curbs.

It's been a team effort this past week to help Andrea out as she learns how to use her crutches and still live life as a handicapped individual for the next ten weeks. Although I  have enjoyed many laughs watching her use the scooter at Smith's, I know that it must be hard for her. Poor Baby.

I hope everyone had as great a weekend as I did. My best friend came into town for a much needed visit. (It was her turn.)

Dane came into town at the last minute and surprised me in Provo on Wednesday night for a visit.  I was so excited because he's always telling me he's coming and then doesn't.

Stephen came back from his vacation and I was so happy!  I picked him up from the airport last night and we went to dinner and I'm excited for all the fun things we have planned.
