Two is better than 1

my old man

why do I love this so much

smiling for once

I graduated, again! Thanks to all my great friends who either texted, called, or sent e-mails to let me know they were thinking of me and so proud of me. I can't tell you how much those things mean to me. I am also extremely grateful for those who came to Molly's house to help me celebrate! However, I was most happy that my Papi and Michelle came to graduation. We had an amazing time and did lots of great things. I graduated on Friday morning and then my family and I went to P.F Changs for lunch. I LOVE that place. I always get so happy when I get to pick the place I want to go.  Then, we all went home and relaxed for a little while Papi prepared a huge feast for dinner. He made all my favorite dishes and more. Saturday the girls went to the tulip festival and had a lovely dinner in Salt Lake while my dad and brother went to the Real Salt Lake game that I surprised my dad with tickets to! I was so proud of myself! And, I am happy he enjoyed the gift. Turns out he hadn't been to an MLS game since 1998. I didn't even know that! On Sunday we all went to church and then hit up temple square. The weather was great! We were able to tour the top of the conference center and show him "the sights". Haha All that touring was followed by a SL Bee's games. If you know me you know how much I have grown to love baseball games and how much I love the Bee's.  Although, we ended up having to leave because it was cold and the Bee's were losing anyway. Monday, we hung out and ran a few last errands like picking up souvenirs and getting mani's and pedi's before Papi and Michelle got on the plane. I am confident they enjoyed their trip and I was glad to have them here.

Every year we celebrate Christmas at midnight on Christmas Eve. We have a big dinner and invite family and friends to come celebrate with us. Although we missed all of the people that couldn't make it this year we made due. I took a couple pictures to help me remember this night.

A Serious Conversation

Mia: Naty, what do you want to be when you grow up?

Natalia: An accountant

Mia: What's that do?

Natalia: I count money

Mia: oh okay, but do you want to get married???

Natalia: Yesssss, one day. What do you want to be when you grow up?

Mia: A mom

Natalia: Really??? How many babies will you have?

Mia: 3

Natalia: Oh wow!

Mia: Yeah, that's not a lot

Put to shame by my own sister!!!
Look at her already knowing how many babies she will have! Can you imagine a Disney princess with babies??

Andrea's Birthday

If you're reading my blog than you're probably my friend and if you're my friend than you probably know that birthdays in my family are no joke. We always take the time to make someone's birthday a big deal and do whatever the birthday girl/boy wants.
Andrea's birthday landed on a Monday this year. Pretty inconvenient because everyone knows that the best day to celebrate your birthday is your actual birthday. We celebrated on Saturday and still made it fun.

Anyway, we all went to dinner at La Carreta. My family loves that place. It's the only restaurant you can get good Peruvian food. We're still looking for an awesome chinese place. Why is the food better on the east coast? Hell, why is it that everything is better on the east coast??? After  dinner we went to Hee Haw Farms and participated in the Halloween festivities.  We walked through the corn terrors and rode the haunted hayride.  Photos weren't allowed on the rides but you'll have plenty of us to look at.

The Martinez

So May and June have been very busy for the Martinez family.

Mia graduated preschool!

Handro completed his first triathlon.

Rafi graduated high school

And Felipe moved to Utah last night!!!!!!
(excuse his face, he flew all day)

It was a gong show trying to pick him up from the airport last night. Handro decided to speed at the airport so we got pulled over and it turns out that none of us really have a valid license ( I have one but it's lost). Felipe ended up having to drive us all home. We laughed and chit chatted all the way home. We were all so excited but all trying to play it cool. But he's here now and we're happy and excited to get rolling on all our cool little road trips and to show him the parts of Utah that we love. And I am sure Handro is tired of being the only boy with his sisters.
