Sweet Sixteen

Just when I was about to get depressed because I was missing Mexico, Stephen, Babsies, the sun, Utah reminded me why the snow isn't so bad.The weather has been great but it snowed Friday night and left me kind of bummed out. However, thanks to the snow, I skied 16 inches at Snowbird! Enough powder for the whole freaking resort and luckily it wasn't even packed. Amanda and I tore it up on the slopes ALL DAY. We didn't leave until the park closed not like all those other wimps who left early!

Fresh from my nap in front of the fireplace

Fresh tracks in all that powder!!

She couldn't have been happier. Check me eating the snow in her goggles. I was so thirsty!!

You can tell I love life when I'm laughing

The end of am amazing ski day.

Music Monday

I love music. It might be stupid but I've decided to post my favorite song of the week every week. It's going to be called Music Monday (even though today is Tuesday), creative right? I'm a little behind in my blog postings. Hopefully I'll be caught up by next week.

The first official song for music mondays is from Nicki Minaj feat Natasha Beddingfield- Last Chance.

Natasha Beddingfield has blown me away this year. Her song with Rascal Flatts was amazing, her cd was amazing, and now she's on a song with Nicki. Couldn't be better.

Happy Endings

I've started 3 new shows this winter: Perfect Couples, Off the Map, and Mr. Sunshine.

Perfect Couples- Cancelled

Off the Map- Season over, most likely cancelled, not coming back.

Mr. Sunshine- Season over, most likely cancelled, not coming back.

Can you guys please start watching Happy Endings so it doesn't get cancelled? I admit the pilot episode starts off pretty slow but it's actually pretty funny. Give it a chance! It's only 20 minutes. It takes me 20 minutes to get out of bed!

Something Borrowed

I can't express how much I love the author Emily Giffin. I won't claim that all her books are great, because not all of them are. However, I do like most of them. What I appreciate the most about the way she writes is the way she captures emotions and relationships. When I read her books I get sucked in. You would think I was a character, the way I get depressed, or sad, or happy.

So, of course, I was ecstatic to learn that the summer I decided to read all Giffin's books is the same summer in which Hillary Swank's production company bought the rights to Something Borrowed and Something Blue.

On May 6th, the movie Something Borrowed is going to be released! It was Giffin's first novel, and in my mind, her best one yet. Maybe it was the time in my life,or maybe just my sensitive side, but the problems between Rachel and Darcy rocked my freaking world.

Since I love Hillary Swank, Emily Giffin, Something Borrowed, and Something Blue, and most especially Kate Hudson (she's in the movie), I've gots to see it.

This Week's Music Obsession

Although I went ahead and downloaded Lady Gaga's new single Judas, I have to say I am not the biggest fan. I find myself humming along and singing and it gets stuck in my head but it was still a major letdown. She's doing too much agenda pushing and I just don't know if I can get behind that.

However, Rihanna feat Britney- S and M RIH-mix- LOVE IT

You're welcome.

Hot Like Mexico

It doesn't get better than this.

Chilling on the roof my last night;it was beautiful. The moon was huge and lit up the water. It was perfection.

Lucy's Taco Stand- The best homemade ice cream (and they make their own cones) in the whole world.

La Loncheria- The best beef tacos I've ever had in my whole life.

Mexico was amazing. Thank you Stephen.

When Friends Visit....

... I LOVE IT

Especially when it's a surprise visit and especially when it's a friend that I love so much.

I'm a little behind in this post cz this visit was more than a week ago, but it's still important!

Anyway, Katie, came to visit me on campus while she was passing through Orem.I snuck out of work for an hour to see her and we had lunch.

Katie had my back last year in DC when my whole world was caving in. She's the kind of friend you call after your boyfriend breaks up with you so that she can tell you all the reasons why he's a loser and why he doesn't deserve you. Basically, she always made me feel better.

Needless to say, it was great to see her!

Dear Life

Dear Life,
Screw you.
I'm going on vacation.
I'll worry about all the stress when I get back.
Love,
Nat

P.S I know I've been a bad blogger this past week but I have now also been expressly prohibited from updating any statuses, blogs, or tweeting for this upcoming week. Try not to miss my sometimes funny, sometimes interesting, a-lot-of-times-boring life updates.

Good Luck Babsies

One of my biggest pet peeves: when people say they are going to do something, and then they don't. I hate it so much. So even though I am exhausted and tired I am going to fulfill my prior commitment of dedicating a post to Babsies. Tomorrow is her first MARATHON ever and I'm wishing her the best of luck.

You're going to do great Babs!!! You did amazing at the half marathon and I know you'll kick trash in this one. I truly wish I could be there to support you but since I'm not I hope you're jamming out to all the great running music I sent.

I was supposed to....

This weekend I was supposed to:

1. Take an accounting quiz, do the homework, and read the chapter
2. Start and be halfway through a 10 page Org. Behavior Paper
3. Take a macro economics test
4. Complete 3 chapters of math homework
5. Put the finishing touches on my group final

Instead, I:

Played Wii Dance with them

Went to conference with him.

Shared a caramel apple like two lovers on a patch of grass with her

And rode bikes with her

This weekend I completely ignored my priorities. This weekend I felt the spirit and grew closer to my friends. This weekend was amazing.
